Pretty amazing the damage that Prohibition did to the winery industry. The Santa Cruz area seems like it is still recovering from that really, really, really bad decision to outlaw alcohol...

Cinnabar has great fun with grape stomping in September. Good barbecue as well. And did you know that George's dad has his own line of wines? Angelo began making wine with his family in Scranton, Pennsylvania in the 1930s.

There's 68 wineries in the Santa Cruz Mountains and there's still less acerage in vineyards than there was in the 1800s!
